Our West Coast, New Zealand home, ‘Bank House’, provides ‘Heritage’ along with warmth, vitality and luxury, in the forms of genuine hospitality, dramatic views from the ocean to the mountains, and colourful, gracious surroundings. The accommodation is themed on History & Gold. It is elegant, spacious, private and quiet and well worth spending more than one night here if you can.

Guidance in planning and bookings for the next part of your journey is offered as Dianne and Chris have travelled widely throughout New Zealand as well as overseas. You are able to explore our wonderful craft galleries in and around our town; explore the beach, a drive to Lake Kaniere and Hokitika Gorge, cycle the Hokitika Cycle Trail (bikes can be hired in town) or Shantytown; walk the ‘Tree-tops’ walkway; enjoy a day exploring Punakaiki, the Glaciers, or Arthurs Pass…, or just relax as you prepare to continue your journey.
